Walter Mason Camp research papers on the Cheyenne uprising of 1878, 1911-1918.

Manuscript notes and correspondence relating to the 1878 Cheyenne uprising. There are notes in Camp's handwriting on the surrender of Dull Knife as told by Major Caleb Henry Carlton, on the flight of the Cheyennes in September 1878, and the death of Lt. Col. William H. Lewis. A letter by H. D. Colvin describes a Cheyenne raid as experienced by a settler. There are five letters between Camp and Luke Voorhees concerning the site of the battle between the U.S. Army and the Cheyennes who had escaped Fort Robinson; this is also the subject of a letter from Henry W. Wessells, Jr.
